Outpatient Services, Programs, Clinics
Our JCAHO accredited HealthSouth outpatient rehabilitation facilities provide expert therapy, and specialized care across a wide array of diagnoses. We offer the clinical, technical, and professional resources necessary to provide individualized treatment programs that promote progress towards independence and help you live without limits. HealthSouth offers outpatient rehabilitative programs for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
L.I.F.E. Program
HealthSouth's L.I.F.E. (Living Independently in Functional Environments) Program is a multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation that focuses on application of therapeutic techniques in a dynamic, functional environment to maximize quality of life and optimize independence.
The focus of the L.I.F.E. Program is to provide a safe daytime environment where the patient can attend individual and/or group therapies from two to five days per week, for two to six hours per day. Length of stay in the program is dependent upon individual patient needs and progress.
Pain Clinic
The HealthSouth Pain Clinic offers the medical services of an anesthesiologist and physicians specializing in rehabilitation medicine. The services provided at this clinic are geared towards pain management and reduction.
Pediatrics
The HealthSouth Pediatric Program provides comprehensive services to children (newborns through mature adolescent) requiring therapeutic intervention to meet their full potential. In childhood and adolescence, a delicate balance must be maintained between cognitive, sensory, emotional, physical and social abilities. HealthSouth is dedicated to helping each child reach and maintain this balance.
Therapeutic and Medical Services
HealthSouth's Outpatient Centers provides a full range of therapeutic services, including:
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech/Language Therapy
- Case Management
HealthSouth also offers outpatient medical services located in the Special Procedures Clinic at the Acute Hospital
Anesthesiology and Physiatry provides:
- Comprehensive evaluations and medical care
- EMG's to assess nerve/muscle disorders or neurological injury
- Nerve blocks and botulinum toxin injections to control spasticity/increased muscle tone.
