Josette Myers

Josette Myers

Chief Executive Officer

Josette Myers joined HealthSouth four years ago and served as the area director of marketing at HealthSouth Mechanicsburg and York. Prior to that, she was the Vice president of marketing, community relations and development at Memorial Hospital in York where she worked in the areas of customer experience, physician relations, community health and wellness, strategic planning and marketing, and development. Josette has worked in the healthcare management field for more than 20 years. She is also an adjunct professor at York College and has served on numerous community boards including United Way, American Heart Association and the Memorial Health Fund. Josette has a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and a master's degree from Temple University.

Michael Lupinacci

Michael F. Lupinacci, M.D.

Medical Director

A board certified physiatrist, Dr. Lupinacci has served as the medical director of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Mechanicsburg since 1993. He received his undergraduate and graduate medical training at Georgetown University and completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor college of Medicine in Texas. Dr. Lupinacci is the founder of PRISM, Physicians of Rehabilitation, Industrial and Spine Medicine, P.C., and is a diplomat of the American Board of Pain Medicine.

Michael F. Lupinacci, M.D. is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.

Karen Burket

Karen Burket

Director of Therapy Operations

Karen has been working with HealthSouth hospitals since 2005. Prior to taking on the role as DTO at HealthSouth Mechanicsburg she held the position as Therapy Team Lead for 4 years. Before coming to Mechanicsburg she worked as a physical therapist for 6 years at HealthSouth York. 

She serves as co-champion of the Wound Care Team at HealthSouth Mechanicsburg, the first rehabilitation hospital in the nation to receive the Joint Commission’s Disease-Specific Care Certification in Wound Care Rehabilitation.

Karen holds a bachelor’s degree from Winona State University and a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Minnesota.

Laurie DeHass

Laurie DeHass

Controller

Laurie serves as the controller of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Mechanicsburg bringing eight years of financial management and analysis in the healthcare field, which includes skilled nursing facilities, acute care and home health. She received her bachelor's degree in accounting from Penn State University and an associate degree in business management from Harrisburg Area Community College. She is an active board member for the Legacy Hospice Foundation.

Michelle Krall

Michelle Krall, M.S. OTR/L

Business Development Director

Michelle brings more than 15 years of clinical and professional expertise to HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Mechanicsburg. She has an extensive background across the continuum of care including skilled nursing facilities, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation. She received her bachelor's degree in liberal arts and life sciences and occupational therapy from Alvernia University, and a master's degree in occupational therapy from Alvernia University.

Lisa Little

Lisa Little, RN, BSN

Chief Nursing Officer

Lisa joins HealthSouth Mechanicsburg with over 25 years in healthcare. She brings experience from all aspects of the healthcare field including pre-hospital and family medicine, emergency, telemetry and medical/surgical nursing, and case management. She has her associate’s degree in nursing from Harrisburg Area Community College and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Kaplan University.

David Staskin

David Staskin

Director of Human Resources

David has worked in HR since 1986 and has been with HealthSouth since 2007. He brings more than 26 years of progressive HR experience in the health insurance and healthcare industries. David received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of PA in psychology with a concentration in human resources management and a Master of Arts in Labor Relations/Personnel Administration from St. Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania. He is a current member of the AHCHRS hospital HR organization.

Cindy Tyson

Cindy Tyson

Director of Case Management

Cindy has her bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation education from Penn State University. She has more than 25 years experience as a case manager. Her experience includes working in acute hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient rehabilitation settings and the insurance field. Cindy is a Certified Case Manager as well as a Certified Disability Management Specialist and has held these certifications for more than 20 years.
